You’ve reached the home page of John McClung, seasoned pedal steel guitar player and instructor. I live, teach, perform and record in Los Angeles, California.

I play live gigs, both clubs and casuals.

I teach steel lessons in a variety of formats, and not just locally, but anywhere in the world, through the magic of Skype™ video chat.

I come up with great, appropriate steel parts in recording studios, for virtually any music genre. Coming soon, I’ll be able to do pedal steel remote overdubs in my home studio.
